We chose the Elk Barn for our yearly student retreat. We anticipated a warm and inviting venue and relaxing location after viewing the pictures and reading the reviews. What we didn’t anticipate was that the property greatly exceed our expectations! First, Meggen is a perfect host. She was quick to offer help and to make sure our stay was the best it could be. She helped us sort out what rooms would be best for our large group and helped us settle in. The “Barn” was impeccably clean and equipped with every necessary amenity and then some; fully stocked Keurig’s throughout the house, snacks, breakfast foods, etc. Too many little touches to list. The dining room, incredible kitchen, cozy and comfortable lounge areas on the main floor and middle floor and theatre room on the top floor could not have been better for a group our size. The property is serene and a beautiful place to relax. There are several locations outside to hang out in groups; around the fire pit, pond, creek, and covered patio areas complete with beautiful patio furniture and group games. I HIGHLY recommend the Elk Barn and look forward to our next visit.
